Creating small books has become an important aspect of my practice. A book has a hybrid identity, they are intimate and interactive, they require time, their diminutive size can free experimentation. “Positioned betwixt and between the world of books and the conventional world of art, the artist’s book does not quite belong to either of these worlds and, despite this lack of stability, this liminal space allows for a freedom of movement and the dynamic exchanges of ideas, concepts and methods of working” (Dietrich 2011).
